Climb Every Mountain...
My past life as a dog. "...The nuns study meditation, rituals, debate and philosophy; English and Tibetan; along with practical skills like driving, tailoring and computers...". [Salon]
Remarkable tale of an English woman now living as a Buddist nun in the mountains of northern India, and trying to bring together women in Buddhism where traditionally, religious women have been considered second-class citizens to their male counterparts (much like nuns in Catholicism). She spent 12 years alone in a cave meditating. The Dalai Lama has been encouraging the devout of both sexes.
