JTidy
On a whim, I had a sudden urge to create a servlet version of the HTMLTidy utility using the Java port JTidy. Jings it been a while since I've written a servlet from scratch. You'll find the general gubbins of how to call the JTidy classes by looking inside the main function of the Tidy.java file in the src directory. Tomorrow I'll try creating a JSP front end to control the configuration parameters. This will be handy when I get to the ugly task of trying to clean up the old Quine webpages with a view to ultimately XML-ising the data. If I can get valid XHTML generated then it should be simpler to connect the output to a XML or XSLT processor. For the source code we're talking ~1996 so the HTML is, how shall we put it, *old*, font tags, unclosed tags, the works, not a pretty site! 1:48:37 AM© Copyright 2002, Scottish Lass, www.scottishlass.co.uk, Contact:
