This is Big Brother. Would a webmaster please come to the website.

Ho, hum, visit the Big Brother site right now http://www.channel4.com/bigbrother and here's the error message you get  (it's been down for at least the last quarter hour):

"Message from the NSAPI plugin:
No backend server available for connection: timed out after 10 seconds.

Build date/time: Nov 9 2001 11:44:47 "
They seem to have shifted to using Java Server Pages this year and the site's less graphic intensive than the last two years but what's different is that now there are paying customers on the web streams. From reading the Channel 4 boards users have been having plenty of problems with broken connections.  Still a lot to sort out technically. I'd hate to be in their web team right now, lots of long hours ahead methinks and debugging a highly stressed server. Developing and 'fire-fighting' under pressure has to make for an unpleasant working environment.

Put bidstogo.biz in your spam filters Now!

Think I've just been stung by a nasty mail problem, unusual because it's affecting Eudora not the more likely Outlook. Put bidstogo.biz in your spam filters Now! I got a few messages from them earlier this evening and didn't think much about it until....one of the messages from their address contained a list of my Eudora mailboxes (!) with rather ominous figures and y/n listed next to them. I backed up my Eudora folder but it was too late,  at this point the inbox was far too small to contain what had previously been in it, the next time I started Eudora I got a message to say the mailbox table of contents needed to be rebuilt, guess what, all messages deleted from my inbox except the bidstogo.biz message. The good news is that I only use the laptop to read a copy of my mail, hopefully the f*****s haven't managed to empty the remote POP box, but knowing nasty spammers, I'm dreading going looking, My last  mail backup is probably a couple of weeks old so there wont be too much damage done. 2:11:48 AM
