21 April 2002

Laughed myself silly when I saw Billy Sloan's pop column in the Sunday Mail: "WHICH 60s icon slipped unnoticed into Glasgow last week to rehearse for her forthcoming UK tour? She worked in a tiny studio in Maryhill with former members of Scots band The Big Dish.". It was Marianne Faithfull in Glasgow preparing for her "Kissin Time" tour. Funny because she's not just been in our fair city but in Maryhill which is famous for being home to Firhill - The home stadium of Partick Thistle Football Club - and I suggested (6th April) that the Jags fans should adopt Marianne's "Sliding through life on charm" as their new team anthem. Don't tell me she popped up here to give them extra singing lessons :-) 10:32:11 PM

It shall come to pass...Lo and on the twentieth day of the third month of the year of our lord 2002 Mystic Lass made three predictions for the future of Radio Userland.
1."an OPML feed from Yahoo/Google/DMOZ" (Google Outline Browser  20th April  -you can save an outline as OPML)
2. "subscribe to a news feed from Google" (GoogleRSS 13th April and Google API 11th April)
3. "News feeds from the New York Times".   (The New York Times on Radio UserLand. 20th March)

She says:"With the dawning of the age of the Google Outline Browser all three predictions are now given earthly form and the wise shall heed the goodness unleashed on all mankind by the guardians of the 'G'. Those whose arms sit at right angles to a body that neither sleeps nor eats shall be the bringers of a new age of knowledge sharing and enlightenment".
Nostradamus eat your heart out, now if Mystic Lass would only give me the lottery numbers :-) 1:41:03 AM
