"15164 » February 28 1:55 PM. IBM gives Moore's Law a punch in the face by developing a 110GHz silicon germanium microchip. Only for use in ultra hi-tech environments right now (network infrastructure, military, etc.), of course. What other things could these processors be useful for? Finding vaccines? Genome mapping? SETI? And how many years before they're mass-producible and inexpensive enough for consumer use?" [MetaFilter]
Aye, but does it make the tea? If no, back to the drawing board an keep trying.
11:03:00 PMSpammers are evil, what are they? Now a spammer has forged the return address *and* forged a message ID to make it look like it was created at one of my domains. Absolutely not, I've alerted the hosting company and they're keeping an eye on it. What's worse is that when these spammer send mail someone like *me* ends up picking up *their* bounced email. (replies ret to my domain). Bounced spam! Arrgh! So I'm effectively ending up paying for receiving *their* mail. Who can I sue? And of course the email addresses in their submit forms are mailto: to @yahoo.com addresses. By the time you report it they simply pick up another account and go again. They are such tiresome creatures. Spam is bad enough in the commercial sector but when the scum target non-profit domains and drag their innocent names through the mud in associating them with spam, well. How to keep a civil tongue when discussing them. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! 10:48:37 PM
