Sorry to see the Scot Darius Danesh leave Pop Idol. That leaves Gareth Gates and William Young "Will" to fight it out. The biggest shock was that Gareth's lead has been wiped out. Fare thee well Darius. Seemingly there were only a few tens of thousands of votes between the top two (Gareth previously had well over half the vote). Even Darius in 'losing' got over 1.2 million phone votes from the most phenomenal phone vote ever in Britain - over 5.8 million. The ITV bosses must be rubbing their hands in glee, if it's at least 10p each call they can be clearing half a million in profit for each show and there's still the final to come... 11:26:55 PM    

That cold of mine is showing no signs of abating, day 4 and now a raging sore throat/ear and rash on my midriff. The last time I had a rash it turned out to be Chickenpox - at least now I know it's not that! 11:21:25 PM

Paring down the Scottish Lass template even more. Removed the graphical frame around the calendar and more changes to the item templates. I've republished the archive and most pages now seem to validate under 401 transitional. I don't think there's a chance of ever getting XHTML due to the mixed cases scattered all over the place. 12:19:11 AM
