"Customizing Mail-to-Weblog Posts" by David Davies. I just love the way a product launch unleashes all the creative developer juices - both programmers "I wonder if I can write a bit of code that does blah", graphic designers -"Hmn that would look better done like this". It gives everyone a lift and something different to think about. At work we're getting involved in projects related to improving thinking skills and creativity in education, just getting people to try something different seems to spark of further discovery. We always underestimate what people are capable of learning and finding out for themselves. It's delightful. 7:55:10 AM

Wow that e-mail to blog Radio feature is a doddle. It would be even nicer if we can get it to route to one of the categories as well. All in good time :-). Alas I don't have a permanent net connection at home so I can't really access my own Radio server remotely. I guess the e-mail option is the next best thing. I can still forward content only the time that it's published would depend on when I next launched Radio at home. I suppose the only problem with e-mail to blog for non-techies would be needing a dedicated POP account. Now I know why I didn't mind renewing by reseller account - even if it is £500 a year. I just love having the flexibility and control to "Just Do It" in a matter of moments, no form filling, no beaurocracy, done. No hassle. 7:32:37 AM

Hello World - this time an e-mail to blog test. 7:25:01 AM

Things I like about v8 over 7.: seems a wee bit faster, much simpler page layouts and admin pages, fewer font tags used (but still not removed entirely). Now there's a  proper 'story' option - I've posted many things that have ended up in the RSS stream which should really have been pointers to stories instead but the previous version didn't have that option. Being able to post to different FTP sites from the same tool is very cool. This would be a great tool for developers to update project logs. As I've said before it's great to get the calendar back, I've been watching the Radio mailing list and there were hacks but I prefer to get the real McCoy. 6:10:05 AM

Republish over. Phew! Originally I tried the Publish:Entire website option but that only published year 2000, I had to select Publish all weblog pages for the archives to be rendered and FTP'd. Now that I've got the calendar back I've been spending a while reading the archives and with Radio 8 I can now recall the excitement of trying Radio 7 in March 2001 6:05:41 AM

Wish me luck - I'm about to republish the entire Scottish Lass archive...I may be gone for some time... 3:51:15 AM

Is it safe? item template 6

Ok first test after upgrading from 7.1->8 (actually it says Radio 8.0fc2).

I think I'm about to obliterate my existing template - apologies to any readers, I'll be 'mucking around' with the look and feel so expect design screw-ups. It's got to get worse before it gets better...
