Martha Davies (Global Learning Day), speaking about the collaboration of people in Peru.
"Let me tell you how they make a bridge. Women take blades of straw and roll them together to make string. They take a bunch of strings then roll them into a rope. They take a bunch of ropes and roll them into a cable, then the men take the cable and use it to support the weight of the bridge. It reminds us as individuals we are just blades of grass but together we can build bridges".

Oh you feel for them at Global Learning Day - technical problems with the webcasts. Technology is something that doesn't work yet. Instead if you tune into the GLD Windows Media Stream we're getting the frantic attempts by the American sounding techies to resolve the problems so we're getting all the gory details about "not being able to get in to the phone room" or "degradation of sound" or "the volume on his inputs are real low". Keep on diggin' guys, we're rooting for you! 12:50:56 AM
